Coraline (the movie)
Other Mother(Black buttons)

The horror/fantasy animated film Coraline is a stop motion picture directed by Henry Selick.  Coraline takes place in a what seems very plain and dark area where this little girl name Coraline (voived by Dakota Fanning) and her family decide to move in a new apartment called the pink palace.   Coraline is a spunky 11 year old girl with some vague parents who don’t pay much attention to her because there to preoccupied with their gardening books.  The father (John Hodgman) and Mother ( Teri Hatcher) have no time for Coraline, so she decides to go exploring by herself only to later  find a hidden door . Curiously she goes through the door way with a passage that leads her to an exact replica of her house, so similar she even has an other mother and other father that mirror her real parents but with one major difference, the other parents have black buttons for eyes.  On top of that, these parents actually acknowledge Coraline and feed her lavish meals.  Other mother and Other father want Coraline to stay with them in their world with promising of love and attention. Coraline is very intrigued and captivated but soon Coraline will discover the dark evil behind these buttons of theirs.
This movie may not be suitable for children lower than the age of 9 for its scary images. Theres a part where other mother reveals her true character which shows a pretty horrific monster. This stop motion picture will defiantly be loved my fans of the night mare before Christmas and if you’re a fan of stop motion picture films, then you will defiantly have great deal of respect for this film.  The dazzling 3D effects pulls you in to their world of magic. Even if you are not a big fan of films similar to”the nightmare before Christmas” like me, the movie will still capture your attention and bring you in to a new world.  I do believe the movie how ever is very dark and rather strange at first, but I gave it sometime and I found myself in love with the characters. This is a must see movie, especially those serious fans or animated horror or stop motion animation.

SNL's Magical Night

Saturday Night Live
The late night NBC TV show "Saturday Night Live" is a comedy created by Loren Micheals in 1975. This particular show is performed by a large cast in front of a live audience. SNL performs with hilarious sketches that focus on a parody of American culture and politics.  I had the pleasure to watch the beginning of their campaign episode on September 1st. The newest host; Seth Macfarlane  who is actually is creator of the fox adult comedy "Family Guy", and major motion picture "Ted". A very talented and successful man already drew excitement for me. But lets not forget the whole cast which is also blessed with a large talented crew. Comedians such as Kenan thompson, Seth Myers, Bill Hader, Kate Mckinnon, and Vanessa Bayer, all bring laughter and excitement to the show. If you have enjoyed comedy show like the " The Dave Chapel show, then  you will absolutely  love SNL. The skits are truly a riot of laughter and loves to focus on poking fun on American culture and recent events. But wait! That is not all to SNL. Lets not forget one of my favorite parts of the whole show, the musical guest.
Frank Ocean
Septembers 1st episode focused a lot on the upcoming elections and the presidential campaigns. Not to mention musical guest Frank Ocean gave an amazing performance. It was a great experience seeing him on stage with an appropriate scenery to compliment his style of music. I Hear nothing but great reviews about this show. Not much has change through the years of SNL. Besides a  different host almost every week, so it  seems like. Other then that not many changes are made except for the actors and comedians. This is truly a show that is a big part of our American TV history. I recommend this show to anybody in need of a good laugh especially if your in to politics and American culture. This late nigh comedy will capture your heart and bring out that laughter you need to start off your Saturday or end your night.
